Beth Aileen Lameman, Ph.D. (ABD) in Interactive Arts and Technology at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia, is an Irish, Anishinaabe, and Métis border-crossing writer and producer whose work addresses indigenous determination in media such as video games, films, and comic books. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts with emphases in Native studies, creative writing, and technical communication, she went on to complete a Master of Arts in Writing at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. She is a member of the Aboriginal Territories in Cyberspace research network and advocate of interactive technology education for Indigenous youth. Most recently, she is focusing on her dissertation, which looks at traditional indigenous oral storytelling to inform the design of video games. V I T A E |
